Hatton of Fintray, Aberdeenshire
Boat of Hatton steading was a disused agricultural steading which was in a state of disrepair, including a lot of self seeded vegetation. The building was completely stripped back, with sections of existing wall to be re-built and roof replaced.
The scope of works was to provide a large open place kitchen / family room / dining area with open plan first floor master bedroom above with frameless glass balustrading, all benefitting from views out glazed gable. Another four bedrooms with en-suites, main bathroom, utility and playroom to complete the accommodation.
Existing stone was carefully taken down and rebuilt or picked and repointed and slated roof replaced.
The property benefits from spectacular views over the River Don which can be taken advantage from southern glazed gable.
