Alford
A two phase development to an existing church, altered and refurbished to provide 21st Century facility.
The scope of works in Phase 1 included the refurbishment of the existing church interior, completed in 2001. Phase 2 incorporated an extension to the rear of church which comprised of a new church hall, meeting rooms and toilet / kitchen facilities.
The contemporary extension, completed in 2008, was built on a very tight and sloping site. It is formed as a split level and capped with a curved metal deck roof as complete contrast to the existing traditional church construction.
