Meldrum House, Cave Bar
Oldmeldrum
Following commencement of the works to provide additional bedrooms and function space to Meldrum House, it was necessary to provide a larger hotel bar. The bar alteration work ran concurrently with the extension, to allow completion to be achieved with the opening of the extension.
The existing 800 year old cave bar was retained, with the larger bar area created by connecting adjoining rooms. The new area was designed and finished to retain the style and character of the existing bar, and utilising all available space by creating seating areas within the turrets. The larger bar also allows Meldrum House to display over 120 whiskies.
