Call & Fulfilment Centre, Midmill, Kintore for Donald Russell Ltd.

We have submitted a planning application for a new Fulfilment Centre and Call Centre at Midmill Kintore. The building on a sloping site comprises of 5400sqm of warehouses, fridges and distribution with also 2000sqm of offices on 3 levels. The offices will house approximately 130 people; and has been designed to be split level with open vistas to Midmill Long Cairn and beyond.

'Our client wanted to ensure the staff had an open, light and airy working environment.'

The office will be heated from a heat exchange and recycling system using “waste” heat from the refrigeration plant. The overall complex, with a budget of £8.5M, will be set in a landscaped environment to reduce the impact on neighbouring residential properties.

Please see site plan attached.

  Employment Land at Crichie, Inverurie

In December 2006 Rydens carried out an appraisal of employment land available within the A96 corridor; this established a shortfall of approx 20ha.

We have submitted a planning application for approx 30ha at Crichie. As we already have clients for approximately 14ha and are trying to establish how much more demand there is from local businesses.

Please see location plan attached.

Should any local business have an interest or need for land in the next 2 to 5 years perhaps they would be kind enough to write to us summarising their likely requirements; this will be used to support our case for releasing employment land ahead of the local plan (which is delayed until approx 2008-09).

There is no obligation or commitment to take up your requirements but it will help us gauge more accurately how Inverurie businesses are going to grow and where these should be located.

Please feel free to contact our office and express any interest on this topic.
